Our History and Our Staff

We are not a franchise or a chain.   What began as a home based business in Armand and Carol Minnie’s condo, expanded into a ‘real’ store in 1992 when they opened Artistic on Salinas Street in April of that year.

In 1994 we joined forces with The Frame Source on Brunken Avenue where Carla was employed.  In 1995 we opened a third store at Harden Ranch Plaza.  In 1997 we combined all three stores into our current location at 257 John Street, and shortly after that we added the adjoining space at 261 John Street.  We now occupy the entire building on the corner of John and Abbott Streets in Salinas.

 

Jaymie joined us in the middle of 2000 and Danielle in 2010.  In November of 2009 Carla became the owner when Armand and Carol retired.

Artistic HangUps has prospered thanks to our more than 5,000 satisfied corporate and retail customers.  We enjoy being a part of the Salinas Valley community and we thank you for you continued business.  We’re proud to be celebrating our 20th year in business in May, 2012.

We do not share information about individual customers with any third party.

We gather customer information in our store and via our use of email and voice communications with our customers. None of that information will be shared with any third party except as required to tell you about our sales and specials or to process payments or to deliver merchandise.
